Spreading Holiday Cheer at your Apartment in Dallas
Just outside your apartment in Dallas, people are getting ready for the holidays. Christmas trees and menorahs light up the windows. Wreaths cover doors on either side of our hallways. We’ve even seen some dogs dressed up as elves, although the humans are probably enjoying that outfit more than the pups. Clearly the good people living in Crest at Glencoe apartments are in good spirits this holiday season. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for everyone in the Dallas Fort-Worth area.
Like it or not, there are some Grinches in Dallas during the holiday season. There are people who will drive through a puddle and splash water all over your holiday party outfit an hour before the party starts. There are people who will honk at you repeatedly when you’re trying to wrap your present and drive at the same time. There are even people out there who will give you a parking ticket when you double park so you can run inside UPS and ship your presents to friends and family. Those people are called parking enforcers and they’re just doing their job, but our point remains. The world is filled with Grinches coming out of the woodwork this time of year. Fortunately, the team at Crest at Glencoe Dallas Apartments put together this list of places in Dallas where you won’t find a single Grinch. Check out this list of holiday activities that are sure to get even your surliest friends’ hearts to grow three sizes.

You can go see a magical scene of more than 500,000 lights wrapped around 25 Victorian gazebos at the Dallas Arboretum’s 12 Days of Christmas holiday celebration. The beautiful botanical garden setting includes costumed Christmas characters and Christmas carols playing from outdoor speakers . Dallas might not get too much snow, but that doesn’t mean we can’t set up a classic Christmas scene. You can also see the lights at night from 6 – 9 p.m. on select evenings. Check out the Dallas Arboretum website for more details.

Restaurants are as much about atmosphere as they are about food, and the DeGolyer Garden Cafe at the Dallas Arboretum has the first part of the equation down pat. If you’re feeling extra fancy this holiday season (or have a hot new date that you want to impress) sit down for Holiday Tea at the DeGolyer Estate. On top of the delicious english tea, you also get a three course high tea experience that includes finger sandwiches, scones and a dessert. The cost per ticket is $49 or $59 for the Champagne Tea package. Both tickets include admission to the botanical gardens as well. Clearly the Dallas Arboretum is fully committed to the spirit of Christmas.
